Project Manager / Scheduler - Power Delivery

The Project Manager / Scheduler for Primoris will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, execution, and completion of power utility projects. This role involves managing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project management within the power delivery sector and be adept at scheduling and coordinating various project components.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Schedule and manage power delivery projects from initiation through completion. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise. Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and company standards. Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera). Track project timelines and milestones, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or delays. Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely delivery of project components and resources. Perform schedule analysis and provide recommendations for schedule improvements and optimizations. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures. Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project needs. Prepare and present financial and progress reports to stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve issues promptly to minimize project impact. Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk management plans as necessary. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders. Ensure clear and effective communication among team members and external partners. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports. Prepare and submit progress reports, project summaries, and performance metrics. Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurately reflects project status.

 Education & Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the power utility sector, with a strong understanding of utility infrastructure and operations. Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera). Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with power transmission, and distribution projects. Familiarity with utility project lifecycle. Advanced skills in data analysis and project forecasting.

Work Environment:

This position may require occasional travel to project sites. The role may involve working in various weather conditions and on-site environments.
