Project Manager; Second Sourcing Hauppauge, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=165+Oser+Ave+Hauppauge+NY+USA+11788) Apply Description Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing second sourcing initiatives, ensuring multiple suppliers are qualified for the same material while maintaining quality, compliance, and supply chain continuity. Responsibilities:include but are not limited to – + Plan, manage, and track second sourcing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring supplier qualification and risk mitigation. + Maintain timelines, schedule project meetings, set agendas, prepare and present project progress to stakeholders. + Interface with suppliers and customers to address project requirements, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships. + Ensure seamless integration of second-sourced materials into production and supply chain operations. + Work with internal teams to assess risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure dual-source strategies enhance business continuity. + Develop and implement appropriate historical tracking system or database for all assigned projects. + Maintain all project related historical documentation, project schedules and milestone due dates. + Interface with clients and suppliers on an as needed basis. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing initiatives. + Identify opportunities for efficiency in supplier qualification and sourcing processes. + Other projects as assigned by Senior Management. Requirements Education and Experience: + Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations or related; PMP certification. + Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement or supply chain environment, with specific experience in second sourcing and supplier qualification requirements. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: + Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations highly preferred. + Communicate effectively: speak and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. + Creative/Innovative: develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization. + Foster Teamwork: work cooperatively and effectively with personnel, suppliers and customers to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness. + Lead: positively influence others to meet project timeline goals and achieve results that are in the best interest of the company. + Organize: set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities. + Plan: determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results. + Solve Problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem. Physical Demands: + Required to use hands to operate computer controls, equipment, tools, and operational machinery. + Specific vision abilities required include close vision, ability to focus. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Work Environment: + Work environment in production operations facilities include close proximity to heavy machinery and pharmaceutical powders, with loud noises. + Potential to move between production operations sites/areas to complete job functions; travel throughout local geographic region. + Employee travel/work hours/schedule and/or shift are subject to change based on business needs and Management discretion. + Required to be present in the office to collaborate with department head, peers, and other departments daily, and address business needs. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Personal Protective Equipment or Attire Required for Position: As needed. Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
