WSP, a leader in the Transportation industry, has an exciting career opportunity for a motivated team player to fulfill the role of a **Project Manager/Senior Highway Engineer** for our **Pittsburgh, PA** office **.** The Pittsburgh office is located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Central Business District and easily accessed by public transit.
The Pittsburgh Transportation Engineering Team has a significant backlog including projects for state and local DOT's and private clients. The team also supports other WSP offices throughout Pennsylvania and the eastern United States, working on transportation and other related discipline projects.

**Your Impact**
+ Manage roadway and/or highway projects of moderate to large size and complexity.
+ Responsible for QA/QC on projects with scopes to include roadway and highway geometrics, drainage system design, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, stormwater management, traffic analysis and design, barrier warrant analyses, maintenance of traffic, municipal engineering, and general civil/site development.
+ Mentor junior engineers on design projects, using cutting edge 3D roadway modeling software, as well as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer 3-D modelling software.
+ Additional assignments will include developing preliminary design studies and project reports, preparing specifications, preparing final construction plans, completing quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and checking design computations.
+ Provide guidance and training to junior engineers.
+ Positive interactions and strong positive relationships with regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
+ Remain current in latest civil engineering techniques and practices.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
+ 7+ years of post-education experience in civil engineering, highway and roadway design.
+ Pennsylvania PE registration.
+ Prior successful project management, project controls and project procurement experience.
+ Experience with PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Allegheny County, City of Pittsburgh policies.
+ Proficient knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve engineering problems.
+ Proficiency with roadway design software which may include MicroStation and Open Roads Designer 3D Modeler.
+ Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word experience.
+ Willingness and ability to work collaboratively and communicate as part of a diverse design team
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated maturity in judgment and initiative.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
