Job Description

What you will be doing:

 

As a Strong Start Project Manager you will be responsible for the project management of ES Services NAM operational mobilization projects as well as complex mobile deployments that require additional coordination and oversight. You will partner with regional teams to act as a bridge between ‘project delivery’ and steady-state operations of new contracts within our business. You will also ensure that our field teams are prepared with the necessary and adequate site documentation to perform the operational tasks at hand, of which you will help to develop and work with other documentation development specialists if needed.

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include: 

 

Management and coordination with field teams on a project level – ensuring good alignment with both upstream/downstream & regional stakeholders as well as provision of clear project management during the operations startup phase while keeping planning, communication, and follow-through on the forefront.  

Development of a clear and tangible list of deliverables for  mobilizations of our field teams for the  operations and maintenance of water treatment equipment and systems.

Setting and managing due dates of deliverables based upon key project dates and milestones

Leading and managing the overall creation of operational documentation efforts for various projects and mobilizations.  Ensuring that needed resources are efficiently aligned to support our site teams in the development of maintenance plans, standard operating procedures and other documentation needs, while also building out a library of templates for the team to draw on over time.  

While this role will actively engage in content development efforts, it will also partner with various groups to help facilitate a collaborative effort.

Cultivation of project management acumen within the Expert Operations Center of Excellence (COE) and broader services regional community, through training, coaching & mentorship

Motivation & support of team members - providing performance feedback and guidance

Providing leadership in continuously improving the new operations contract start-up process, identifying current gaps and partnering with peers & regional team members to implement solutions.  Examples could include

Helping develop staffing plans consistent with contractual, operational, and safety considerations

Assisting with interviewing candidates for operations staffing

Identifying any job or site specific training beyond the baseline training standards of the company

Assisting with the training of operations staff on site specific items

Collaboration with sales & commercial engineering to understand new contract pipeline and provide support for proposal generation

Other O&M mobilization-related needs identified throughout execution

Qualifications

Core Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in engineering, business or other relevant field 

Minimum 2 years experience with project management, planning & budget management

Demonstrated interpersonal skills including, mentoring, coaching, presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all technical levels 

Experience in leading a team of people to achieve a successful completion in the execution of projects

 

Useful Skills & Abilities:

 

Experience with process improvement and change management

Experience working in the water treatment industry

Ability to identify, address, and resolve problems, both technical and situational as they arise

Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
