Project Manager - Transportation Services

• Assists the Client Service Leader (CSL) in developing and pursuing additional business opportunities with key clients.
• Serves as a pursuit champion utilizing the CDM Smith WINS process. Assists the CSL as a part of the pursuit team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Participates in interview and proposal presentations to the client as well as general presentations within the industry.
• Develops and nurtures key client relationships as a primary company contact on assigned projects. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
• Collaborates with office leadership in solving challenges and ensuring business objectives are met.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects. Proactive management of cash, budget, schedule and project scope to ensure adherence to project goals and completion to the client's satisfaction.
• Executes priorities, obtains commitments, and engages required resources through collaboration with other PMs, the CSL, the Project Management & Commercial Leader (PMCL), Area Leaders, Technical Delivery Manager, Regional Team Leader and Discipline Leaders to staff projects according to project work plans.
• Partners with local leaders in the responsibility for determining project staffing needs including, but not limited to recruitment, hiring, career development, retention and succession of project staff.
• Obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification within 1 year of hire date through CDM Smith’s Global Delivery Excellence Framework (GDEF) program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
