Responsibilities Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorHas an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyondAssists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of traffic engineering projects with our growing team of transportation professionalsLeadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principalsProviding vision, business planning and strategyEstablishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a Transportation/Traffic practiceThe successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business Beyond serving our existing clients, this person has the ability to pursue own passions, leads, and clientsWith success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership Qualifications 10+ years of traffic engineering and design experienceRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in New York and the surrounding areasSome established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, local municipalities, and/or private developersDemonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specificationsExcellent communication, leadership, and technical skillsStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitably Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
