Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance, treatment, and pumping systems in our Houston, TX office.

This role offers an opportunity to progress down the project management career path with a focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and conveyance design projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Serves as Project Manager on medium to large water/wastewater treatment plants and pump station projectsPrepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specificationsProvides technical direction and mentorship for junior staffCoordinates with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projectsParticipates all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and qualityPerforms work in accordance with agreed upon budget and scheduleBuilds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionalsAssists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of water infrastructure design experienceTexas Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or able to obtain licensure within 6 monthsExperience working on municipal projectsMaster’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
