Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to support Water/ Wastewater Treatment Plant projects. As a member of our Program Management team, you will oversee the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) projects within the utilities sector, specifically focusing on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, water distribution systems, and wastewater collection systems. You will manage the planning, engineering design, and construction of CIP projects, collaborating with engineers, contractors, owners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all construction activities within water and wastewater treatment plant projects, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and safety regulations.Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, meeting timelines, quality, and budget requirements.Coordinate site logistics, safety protocols, and construction schedules, maintaining clear communication between all parties.Lead and conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.Resolve on-site issues and provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards, including environmental, health, and safety protocols.Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures, ensuring financial goals are met.Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, including change orders, RFIs, and project reports.Liaise with property management teams, consultants, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.Perform additional related duties as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Project Management Professional (PMP), Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.10+ years of construction management experience with water/wastewater treatment plants.Experience with minimum plant treatment capacity of 30 MGD and minimum project size of $50M.Experience in membrane and ion exchange water treatment plants.Experience in conventional wastewater and reclaimed water plants.Experience in process design, permitting, and project management.Experience in design-bid-build, design-build, and progressive design-build.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Project Management Information Systems.Proficiency in BlueBeam or Adobe Pro PDF Review Software.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Knowledge of Engineering Design best practices and industry regulations.Work Environment
This is a full-time position located at the Project Office in West Palm Beach Utilities. You will work in a collaborative environment, utilizing the latest technologies and equipment to ensure successful project execution.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
