Project Manger, Diagnostic Imaging Administration
MISSION STATEMENT

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Project Manager is to direct multiple projects that span across the Division of Diagnostic Imaging and its departments and teams, the Institution, and external partners, as assigned by the Executive Director, Business Operations. In doing so, the Project Manager will independently analyze issues, identify solutions, implement solutions in collaboration with partners, monitor results and make changes, as appropriate. This individual will recognize and address issues across their scope of influence. Must have exceptional organization and planning skills, creative problem-solving skills, ability to build effective relationships, exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence others, including persuasive communication and presentation skills.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Develops, directs, and executes multiple projects that impact the division and institution as assigned by the Executive Director, Business Operations, and DI Executive Committee members. Develops project plans which identify and address key issues, problems, approaches, timelines, performance metrics, resources required, and budget for assigned projects. Assumes responsibility with Division leadership for integrity and success of projects. Ensures a proactive, collaborative, transparent project management process and active communication regarding implications to stakeholders. Establishes procedures for implementation of project recommendations and results.
Facilitates and supports Division of Diagnostic Imaging committees and short-term task forces to assist in the implementation, communication or development of committee action items.

Dr ives communication related to project facilitation, implementation, and change management.

Works closely with internal communications to development communication material as appropriate for change manager and project facilitation.

Interacts daily with DI leadership, and ensures messaging reached stakeholders to support change management at a local level.

Implements innovative solutions for centralized, division-level communication to decentralized departments, teams, and groups.

Builds relationships with departments and divisions throughout the institution, and external organizations as needed, to gather financial, operational and market information needed to facilitate and complete projects.

Maintain an understanding of institutional and divisional culture, politics and operational dynamics.

Resolves problems that impede the success of large-scale, multi-faceted projects involving employees across the division and institution, and vendors as applicable.

Provides regular status updates to divisional leaders and executive director, including Diagnostic Imaging Executive Committee .

I nform leadership team of barriers and strategic implications.

REQUIREMENT

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Experience Required: Five years experience in project management with two years in healthcare operations.

May substitute required experience with additional years of education on a one to one year basis. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
