Key Responsibilities:

Community Based Treatment and care

Support the Project Manager and District Coordinator in establishing community-based treatment and care for TB patientsSupport implementation, monitoring and reporting of community-based treatment and care for TBWork alongside with health facilities to ensure quality of care is maintained as per national protocol

Drug and supplies management

Keep an up-to-date inventory of medicines and supplies needed for treatment sitesConduct bi-weekly forecast of drugs and supplies needed and make requisition from HospitalsMaintain proper storage and cold chain of drugs for treatment sitesEnsures that site officers make accurate and timely submission of request for supplies for treatment sitesImmediately inform supervisors in event supplies are low from Hospitals and like to affect treatment site supplies

Supervision of activities at sites

Ensures treatment outreach teams depart early for respective treatment sitesEnsure each treatment sites follows standard operating procedures and all sites’ requirementsImprove CHWs recording and reporting system.Act as the DOTS focal point at case management meetingsDevelop and execute CB-DOTS supervisory plan for DOTS/TB activities at community levelProvide on the job trainings on DOTS for DART site officers and treatment supporters.Ensures that officers collect quality sputum from patients required to provide sputum as per scheduleEnsures that patients who miss treatment are promptly followed and brought back to treatment and careCollaborate closely with partners on ground for collaborative implementation and project success

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Diploma in Nursing , HEO or Community Health WorkerHas experienced in hospital/clinical practice (knows how to inject drugs, dispense medicines, etc.)Training on the TB Program a plusExperience with non-profit organizationProficiency in MS Office applicationsExcellent communication skills (oral and written) both in English and local dialectsTime management skillsPeople Management skillsProven experience as a team playerDemonstrated collaboration skills
