Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the local management of all project execution activities in the area of responsibility. Each day, you will ensure operations are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project Execution teams.The work model for the role is: LI# - Onsite This role is contributing to Process automation in the Energy division for the India Region. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tLead the implementation of project execution strategies, ensuring alignment with ABB policies and best practices.•\tOversee project execution and performance management, ensuring contract fulfillment and timely approvals.•\tManage project portfolios efficiently while ensuring compliance with governance, controls, and SOX requirements.•\tDevelop and enhance standardized processes, fostering continuous improvement in project execution.•\tDrive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, ensuring a strong safety culture across teams.•\tBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, serving as an escalation point for project issues.•\tLead, mentor, and develop project execution teams, ensuring effective resource management.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics/Instrumentation/Electrical) from a reputed university.\t15–20 years of experience in Project Management, including managerial experience.\tProven expertise in project execution, governance, risk management, and financial controls.\tStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\tHands-on experience with project finance, cost control, HSE management, and contract management.\tAbility to lead and develop high-performing teams.\tProficient in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly with global teams, prepare reports, and present information to stakeholders.
