Project Planning Engineer
Insight Global is looking for a Project Planning Engineer to support an industry-leading oil and gas client in Greeley or Denver, Colorado. This individual will join the Greenfield Facilities Engineering Projects Team responsible for developing and improving the standard design(s) that are then applied to specific projects within the team's capitol program. The team is also responsible for generating all engineering design deliverables, supporting project execution and commissioning. The team collaborates closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the Operations, Construction, Electrical and Planning teams to refine its approach and manage program risks.

This position supports the development of pipeline gathering and well-connect flowline strategies for upcoming projects. It works in early-concept project phases to identify alternatives and then narrow and select a lead case to ensure cost-effective, efficient execution and reliable operation. Other tasks include, but aren't limited to -
Early concept development of flowline and pipeline projects including hydraulic modeling, line sizing, line routing, material selection, and cost estimation.
Consults across a wide variety of stakeholders to understand preliminary project design basis and schedule. Key stakeholders include FE C&D Engineers, Surface Land, CEPS, Permitting, and Detailed Design.
Builds hydraulic modeling simulations and interprets results to identify bottlenecks or flow assurance risks and develop project alternatives to mitigate and ensure system performance.
Coordinate with Project Engineers focused on detailed engineering to ensure clear handover and understanding of the aligned project plans.
Communicate updated development strategies to the CEPS team to ensure accurate estimates are reflected in RBU Business Plan forecasts.
Consult with local Regulatory and Permitting team members to identify any special or long-lead permits that will be required prior to detailed engineering kickoff.
Support detailed engineering and construction teams as-necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

This is a year-long contract with potential for extension on a year-by-year basis. It's a hybrid schedule with Tues-Thurs working in either the Greeley or Denver office locations, Monday & Friday at home. Pay is starting at $75/hour and can go up to $85+ for the right candidate/skill set.
