Airswift is seeking for a Project Planning Engineer to work with our client based in Qatar. 

Primary purpose of the position is to lead the project planning and monitoring activities to deliver FEED and beyond for a flagship project. This position is expected to continue post FEED subjected to project progress.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Develop the Level 3 integrated schedule with schedule basis for Define/Execute phase and support in probabilistic schedule risk analysis. Maintain and manage the Project Level 3 Integrated project Schedule. Evaluating, monitoring, and analyze Contractor’s performance, providing early warning on any deviations, advising mitigation measures, etc Deliver monthly reporting progress based on aligned format. Implementing Earned value management system through contractor Maintaining various integrated roadmap driving the progress till decision gates Establish and maintain Schedule and Cost opportunity register. Overall responsibility of integrating different contractor’s schedules, schedule quality, alignment between Contractor’s progress tool, schedule and drawing control tool for true physical progress management. Analyze Critical Path, multiple critical paths, total float, Free float and monitor Key Milestones. Ad hoc review and audit contractors physical progress and schedule updates. Integrate various sub-projects physical progress and provide Progress S-Curve Coordinate and produce all required monthly planning reports. Implement project standard processes, as necessary. Dimensions: FEED experience. Schedule management/control for projects over 1Bln Managing Forecast accuracy of schedule Contractor Performance management in high value contract both EPCM and EPC environment Brownfield complexities Stakeholder management
Requirements: Experience in Planning Engineer role on large capital projects and portfolio projects. (Both from owners’ side and contractor side) Minimum of 12+ years industry experience, preferably in Project Planning roles in mega complex brownfield projects. Experience and Deep understanding of FEED engineering works, Earned Value management system. Engineering Degree and/or Certification or equivalent Experience of project control in high value contracts A high degree of skill in written and oral communications Profound technical knowledge and skills in the Project Services competencies and associated areas of activity, e.g. Contracting & Procurement. Sound understanding on with working in a data centric environment, digital savvy, well versed with project services tools and system.
