Within this cross-centers and multicultural organization, the local plant team leader manages directly plant engineering team.
He/ She reports directly to the COE Plant Engineering Leader and dotted to HVDC plant engineering manager
Essential responsibilities
Manage & develop local teams at local centers,Ensure proper implementation of plant engineering process,Promote local opportunities (e.g. knowledge sharing with other disciplines, with ACS local centers, close collaboration with local customers, local universities, local industry bodies… when relevant)Support Continuous Improvement initiatives,Convert project contractual documents into plant engineering requirements,Define and/or control plant engineering planning for the project ensuring on-time delivery,Release plant engineering deliverables as per project planning & cost without non-conformity,Support plant engineering planning and cost estimation for the projectLead the plant engineers for the assigned project(s) (functional reports)Lead the design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints,Interface with other disciplinesAnswer to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to plant engineering,Organize and perform projects design/gate reviews related to plant engineering & support other disciplines’ ones when required.Lead change control impacting plant engineering deliverables & activities,Support continuous improvement within plant engineering disciplineQualifications and skills
Accurate knowledge of local environment & behaviorsStrong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, IEEE, CIGRE…) and related equipmentStrong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP) typeProficient with Autodesk CAD tools Revit & NavisworksGood understanding of onshore civil engineering and offshore platform design and requirementsLeadership, analytical mind, rigorous and commitment,Professional English spoken and written,A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related disciplineMinimum 12 years of experience in engineering management for EPC project, ideally in primary design for substation projectsMobility required (on-site visits or client meetings 10% of the time)The North Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) team delivers a wide range of turnkey high voltage AC and DC transmission projects to its Customers in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
