Project Portfolio Analyst
Job Description

In Zendesk we are looking for a detail-oriented and business-focused Project Portfolio Analyst to join Zendesk’s Corporate Program Management Office (CPMO) to help us effectively manage and optimize our project and OKR portfolios to ensure we meet our company objectives. This role partners with CPMO leadership, Corporate Strategy, and teams across the company to build and maintain our cross-functional program roadmap and support governance of our company strategy via OKRs.

Within the Strategy & Transformation Team, Corporate Program Management (CPMO) oversees Zendesk’s strategic project portfolio, facilitating key operational processes supporting project prioritization and strategy alignment and leading the company’s most critical strategic programs. Corporate Strategy is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of our company strategy, including defining and supporting key rhythm of the business activities such as long range planning, annual planning, goal setting, and OKR facilitation.

What you'll be doing

Develop and maintain strategic project portfolio reports, roadmaps and OKR reporting for senior leadership.

Collaborate with Business Leads, Program Managers, and delivery team leaders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of program plans and OKR status.

Identify areas for improvement and make strategic recommendations to optimize OKR governance and cross-functional resource alignment processes.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to synthesize information, understand challenges, and recommend solutions.

Assist in the development and implementation of cross-functional resource planning, change control, and OKR governance practices.

Prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing valuable insights and recommendations based on the project portfolio and OKRs.

This role would be expected to work from the Zendesk Mexico City office at least 2day/week, with up to 3days remote/flexible. Please note that anyone hired into this position must be physically located in and plan to work from Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).

What you bring to the role

Minimum of 2 years in a Program Manager, Project Portfolio Analyst, Operations Analyst or similar role within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across the organization.

Ability to tailor your approach and those of the Strategy & Transformation Team to meet the needs of Zendesk teams.

Ability to follow and positively influence OKR and CPMO methodology and best practices.

Proficient experience with Google Suite (sheets, docs, slides, etc) and Smartsheet.
