Our Corporate office in Livonia, Michigan is currently seeking a Project Portfolio Management Analyst to join our Information Technology team. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PPM Analyst (Project Portfolio Management) to join our team and support the effective management of our project portfolio. As a PPM Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating project data, providing insights, and contributing to decision-making processes. Primary Responsibilities:

Project Portfolio Analysis: Analyze and evaluate project data, including timelines, resources, budgets, and risks, to assess the overall health and performance of the project portfolio. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. Provide regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.  Portfolio Governance: Support the development and implementation of project portfolio governance frameworks, processes, and standards. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure adherence to portfolio management guidelines and best practices. Facilitate portfolio review meetings, track progress, and provide recommendations for portfolio prioritization and resource allocation.  Resource Management: Assist in the coordination and optimization of resource allocation across projects within the portfolio. Collaborate with project managers to identify resource constraints, potential conflicts, and areas for resource leveling. Contribute to resource forecasting and capacity planning exercises to support effective project execution.  Risk and Issue Management: Contribute to the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and issues within the project portfolio. Collaborate with project managers to develop risk response strategies and action plans. Monitor and report on risk and issue status to ensure proactive management and resolution. Performance Metrics and Reporting: Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project and portfolio performance. Develop and distribute regular performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, variances, and areas requiring attention. Continuously improve reporting processes and templates to enhance data accuracy and visualization.  Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools related to project portfolio management. Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of portfolio management methodologies, processes, and tools. Participate in lessons learned exercises and share knowledge and insights to drive continuous improvement within the organization.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree or certification in Project Management or PPM is a plus).  Proven work experience as a PPM Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role.  Strong understanding of project portfolio management principles, methodologies, and best practices.  Proficient in project portfolio analysis, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and performance measurement.  Experience working with project management tools and systems (e.g., Monday.com)  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at various levels.  Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.  Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).  Familiarity with project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2) and agile methodologies. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
