Job Description

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects or programs. Oversees all aspects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and summarizing project status. Prepares reports for upper management. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or a related area. Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is essential. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The role involves leading and directing the work of others and expects a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and complete projects or programs from start to finish.Oversee all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.Prepare and present reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.Advise on design contracts and related matters, including change orders, contractor requests, payment applications, and necessary approvals.Notify stakeholders of decisions required to avoid affecting the project schedule.Enforce design contracts to minimize costs and obtain the lowest reasonable costs for the project.Maintain and advise on health and safety standards and compliance.Keep stakeholders apprised of all health and safety matters and incidents.Review and convey applications, consents, instructions, notices, requests, or statements as required by the design contract.Issue applications, consents, instructions, notices, requests, or statements to the project team if authorized.Work with the project team to find acceleration opportunities, including overtime work and schedule sequence alterations.Advise on potential schedule delays based on missing or incomplete information.Participate in weekly project and construction site meetings, both virtually and in person, and any necessary ad-hoc meetings.Provide recommendations for adjustments to meeting structures or procedures.Monitor communications and distribution of information.Participate in vendor-led AWS Design Team weekly calls and work alongside AWS Discipline leads and prime consultants to address and resolve project issues timely.Essential SkillsProgram managementDesign and constructionData center managementExtensive experience in project managementFamiliarity with field concepts, practices, and proceduresAbility to lead and direct the work of othersStrong judgment and decision-making skillsCreativity and latitude in problem-solvingAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant fieldAt least 7 years of experience in project management or a related areaWork Environment

This is a remote position. The role requires participation in virtual meetings, including weekly project calls and ad-hoc meetings. The work involves interaction with various teams and stakeholders to ensure project issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00/hr.
