Project Pursuit Manager, Outside Sales

The Project Pursuit Manager will be accountable improving the business profitability and top-line of mega-projects in the assigned area of responsibility. The responsibility includes developing the winning sales pursuit strategy, forming and leading a project pursuit team and developing trusting relationships with critical customer partners, with the objective of securing massive installed base of the department's portfolio at the best price and conditions. You will provide proper pursuit leadership throughout the multiple-year project phasing and roll-out all the necessary actions to win at a premium by achieving pre-selection status, influencing specifications toward the department's differentiators, minimizing white spaces, introducing new products and acquiring preference across the End-user, FEED/EPC contractors, key OEMs and other critical stake-holders. This role will be responsible for top-line and GP financial targets, growing project visibility and conversion rate in collaboration with the European Project Pursuit and PMO organizations and the broader project sales community.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Identify and qualify strategic project opportunities in (pre)FEED phases
+ Develop the pursuit strategy and form the pursuit team required to successfully win the project
+ Lead all sales and support resources throughout the multiple-year project phases, providing optimal pace & communication, collaborating with the national sales team, the broader international project sales community, the subject matter experts and the PMO proposal and execution resources.
+ Understand in full Emerson’s unique project selling propositions, the differentiated project certainty enablers, and ensure best positioning and acceptance of technologies, products and services
+ Forge relationships with critical end user, engineering contractors and partners key collaborators
+ Apply a pre-defined project pursuit methodology, understanding project dynamics, critical decision makers, involve executive management, communicate effectively and in a timely manner so to roll-out relevant customer actions toward the key partners and improve chances of winning, profitability, and scope
+ Align the PMO proposal and execution resources to formulate the right proposal strategy and prepare the winning proposal, perform spec reviews, risk assessment, prepare the profit recovery scheme and negotiate effectively
+ Improve project win ratio while winning at a price premium based on differentiated business case and customer value creation
+ Keep the 3-year mega-project horizon funnel actual
+ Monitor and understand the competitive environment, develop strategies to displace competition and defend Emerson’s position
+ Understand key customer drivers and communicate opportunities to improve Emerson offering and capabilities to gather a competitive advantage
+ Provide feedback on key projects (won, lost, quoted etc.), business trends, opportunities for better customer engagement and growth
+ Observe the Business Ethics standards stipulated by Emerson

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ 5+ years of sales experience in the process industry
+ Good understanding of EPC’s (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) working methods
+ Proven ability to build relationship with new clients
+ Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the customer’s organization
+ Demonstrated leading-by-influence and collaboration skills
+ Knowledge of consultative selling and professional selling techniques for large capital projects
+ Ability to manage conflict and deal with complexity
+ Business insight and understanding of contracting strategies
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills both in Polish and English
+ STEM degree or comparable technical education
+ Willingness to travel (50% to 75% of time)
