Roles and Responsibilities
Project Launch: Read, understand, and analyze the Project Contract in terms of QA/QC. Provide the Contract QA/QC requirements to the Project Team, and support Function Kick-Off meetings to ensure that all Contract specific requirements are transmitted to all stakeholders (Suppliers, GE2GE, etc.). Define the Project specific processes and documents as per Contract Requirements and/or to meet Customer requirements. Consolidate lessons learned from previous projects to make them actionable for preventing future issues. Define with the Project Director the strategy for Quality Assurance and Project Risk identification, translating the identified risks into mitigation plans for the functions. Finally, issue the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan and get them approved by the Customer.
Project Execution: Implement, support, and monitor compliance with project processes and tools (PGR, PMR, R&O, DR, NCR/CoQ). Coordinate and drive mitigation on Project risk, preventing defects from occurring and escaping during the project’s execution. Prepare and coordinate quality inspections as per the ITP with the Customer and Supply Chain to ensure fulfillment of quality and contract requirements. Manage the Databook (project quality records) preparation and delivery, ensuring compliance with customer requirements by tracking, submitting timely, and obtaining approval from the Customer. Monitor project process performance on a periodic basis (Lagging metrics: VoC score, Escaping defects, Cost of Non-Quality) and implement or lead appropriate actions to improve results. Lead the VoC process, ensuring periodic responses from the customer are received and treated accordingly. Ensure the relevance of all non-conformities, including cost of non-quality data related to the Project. Support the Project Director in the analysis and management of Cost of Non-Quality, the related claim process, and curative, containment, corrective, and preventive actions. Obtain Customer approval of the Non-Conformity curative plan when relevant. Finally, gather, analyze, and circulate feedback to the organization (VoC, LL, Close Out)
Site Preparation: Adapt to the project best practices for execution at site erection phase. Support Site Leader/Site Manager for the preparation of all resources needed for excellent execution at site, including trainings, personal qualifications, proper information, etc.
Site Execution: Ensure all activities are carried out according to GE requirements, including document validation and control plans. Ensure staff qualifications and tool maintenance, such as calibration and parameter recording, are up to standard for measurement, welding, and painting. Maintain quality records as per the control plan and coordinate with third parties and customers. Conduct process audits on-site, covering document control, measurement and test devices, storage and preservation, welding and painting processes, material traceability, personal qualifications for special processes, and quality records. Support the preparation of documents to protect GE in case of third-party claims. Finally, ensure the process from Red Mark to As-Built documentation is executed correctly .
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Experience: Proven experience in Project Quality or Site Operations.
Language: Fluent in English
Attitude: Rigor for compliance and EHS rules
Skills: Strong oral and written communication, ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of other languages (French, Spanish or German) would be a plus
