In the role of Project Representative, we'll count on you to:
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsBased on provided Contract Documents, verify alignment, and vertical and horizontal control points by using Civil 3D CADEstablish survey grades based on Caltrans Bridge Deck Construction Manual and other manuals as applicableVerify Contractor survey data and confirm acceptanceVerify field survey by project staff and confirm complianceAttend construction progress meetingsDevelop record documentation for engineer review/acceptanceAssist with project audit/closeoutWork under general supervision of a Resident Engineer/Senior EngineerSupervise, provide trainings and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors and subconsultantsWill perform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationAbility to interpret construction schedulesAbility to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineerRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents Must be able to work in a team environment Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
