Project Safety Coordinator
Description

Our project safety coordinators are responsible for project-wide safety and health administration including developing specific on-site programs, performing site audits, leading accident investigations, training personnel, managing workers’ compensation claims, and administering first aid when necessary. This position may interact with all personnel on a project site at various times throughout the project.   Duties And Responsibilities:    Administers both the GC and Owner safety program requirements. Develops specific onsite programs, as required Performs site audits for unsafe practices, conditions-make recommendations and/or know specific regulation on proper corrections. Leads/performs accident investigations. Train personnel Reports WC claims and performs onsite WC administration for both Hoar Construction and subcontractor injuries. Performs recordkeeping/document control for HAZCOM, training etc. This includes various reports to Owner. Assists in develop/maintain Hazard Analysis Documentation. Administers First Aid, CPR, AED where necessary. Stays current on safety regulations. Performs other duties and services to ensure a successful project is delivered and client is satisfied. Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.Education and Training:    Minimum of seven years of experience dedicated solely to building construction safety, construction safety, or equivalent combinations of CSP, OHST, CHST, etc. Minimum of five years of experience in building construction safety process management Current OSHA 500 or 502 training within four years. Current Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within two years. Working knowledge, experience, and documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, electrical, and incident investigation and other such safety/health related training. (Training of less than four (4) hours in duration per topic will not be considered acceptable for this requirement.) Continuing education of noted training must be current and dated within the last five (5) years. OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Outreach or OSHA 510 certificates will not be acceptable for this training requirement.Any candidate who has completed a four (4) year degree in a safety-related discipline must show at least three (3) years of actual field experience in safety to qualify for the position. Formal submittal of proof of experience and training must be provided with resume.   Project Location - Tyler, TX    Individual will need to be prepared to live in Tyler or close by, as the project will requires the PSC position to be onsite anytime work is being performed, such as weekends, nights, holidays, etc.
