Job Summary and Responsibilities The Master Project Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution for the implementation of a large Medicaid Management Information Claims Processing system (MMIS). This role will supplement and assist current project staff in elaborating, improving, and maintaining a comprehensive master project schedule containing multiple sub-project schedules for a software implementation that is currently in process. The candidate will assist with scheduling, monitoring progress, reporting, and ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget. They will provide expertise in analysis of the schedule in order to suggest approaches to improving more efficient use of resources and visibility into the work and its associated timeline. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven record in project scheduling and management. Expert MS Project skillset is required along with a strong foundation in principles of DCMA schedule analysis and how to construct schedules to satisfy a high level of conformance to generally accepted standards. Responsibilities: Provide expertise and leadership in the development of the program schedule(s) in collaboration with other schedulers using MS Project Collaborates with the project partners to incorporate schedule needs into the master schedule Provide advanced level scheduling expertise to enhance master schedule’s accuracy and reliability as a communication tool Conducts advance scheduling analysis to provide visibility into the progress on the overall project Develops and performs basic analysis of critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule, and recommending work-arounds or alternatives Ensure that schedules are developed and structured in a manner that aligns to project objectives and can be utilized to make decisions on the project Establishes, collects and reports project metrics as needed Ensures that project schedules align to contractual requirements and provides basic analysis to assess any changes to project scope and timeline Performs plan updates, setting up tasks and subtasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements Assists in escalating risks, issues, action items, and change requests to the appropriate leadership in a timely manner Qualifications Required Minimum 7-10 years developing and maintaining complex project schedules using MS Project Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle concepts and their application to the development and maintenance of software implementation activities Must be available to travel within the United States with advance notice approximately 1 week per month for in person schedule workshops Preferred Working Remotely is acceptable for this position however business hours for this role are primarily within the Central or Eastern Time zones Experience deploying MMIS systems Bachelors Degree Why us? "Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level." Pay Range USD $74,176.00 - USD $115,900.00 /Yr.
