POSITION SUMMARY:

The MPLX Gulf Coast NGL Project team is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the program from detailed design engineering through to project completion.  The Gulf Coast NGL Project comprises a fractionator complex, an LPG export terminal, and associated pipeline expansions, as reported in the linked MPLX news release.

The Planner/Scheduler works closely with project management, project engineers, construction management, and cost engineers to ensure projects have aggressive but achievable overall EPC schedules. This position is key in providing analysis and reports to ensure that projects are completed within the accepted schedule. The position is vital to organizing and communicating the execution plan through engineering, procurement, construction, and startup for the projects within the Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain a project management schedule into the overall master schedule.Partner with Implementation Managers and team leaders to keep project delivery aligned and progressing.Manages the tracking of required project deliverables, communicates to management if key deliverables are deviating from the schedule.Assists in the development of the project construction work package (CWP/CWA) list and tracks the issuance of packages to the schedule.Performs quality assurance on third-party developed schedules. Coordinates the completion of schedule risk assessments.Facilitates a schedule update meeting with engineering and construction firms.Works closely with Projects Contract Administration to publish a look-ahead of key milestone dates or requirements to keep the contracting cycle on schedule.Participates in and helps facilitate interactive planning sessions.Ensures EPC firm and Construction developed schedule deliverables are logically tied and capable of depicting a true critical path.Perform critical path analysis to identify areas of improvement and optimize project timelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma requiredBachelor’s degree preferred – in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent project scheduling experienceExpert proficiency with Primavera P6.Five years of industrial, refining, or petrochemical major project scheduling experience and has worked as an owner’s representative, is preferred.Relevant experience working in an EPC environment.Well organized and detail-oriented.Works well in teams.Is a great communicator (verbal and written).Proficient in Microsoft Office products – Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.Travel: Up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

Field experience during the construction of industrial projects.Familiarity with SAP, Netpoint, Acumen Fuse, and other scheduling software (MS Project).

Excellent organizational skills, concurrent management of multiple project schedules, strategic thinking, and the continual improvement of internal processes and programs are all key traits for success in this role.
