Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Project Controls team for the Major Projects Sector, based in Ottawa office and have the opportunity to work on both current and future projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
The creation and maintenance of resource loaded project schedules, integrated plans, and report progress for the various groups within the Major Projects development and execution teams
Integration of execution plans for the Designers, Vendors, Suppliers, Contractors, and Construction to identify key interfaces and provide as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems
Develop the integrated schedule, highlight deficiencies, and advise the appropriate management so that issues can be addressed and resolved
Identify opportunities to optimize the project schedule
Monitor various stakeholder progress versus plan – prepare monthly progress updates
Ensure that reporting and scheduling requirements are implemented and executed in such a manner that both EXP and Client expectations are met
Follow up on the progress of the individual stakeholder groups on a weekly basis to ensure the information is available for weekly and monthly updates
Prepare weekly reports based on the data received from the various groups
Aid planning & controls personnel
Essential Functions
What your experience looks like
Minimum of 5 years experience level using project scheduling tool Primavera P6 that includes resource and cost loading. Experience in usage of MS Project would be beneficial. 5 to 8 years relevant experience in project controls and time/schedule management. Experience of working in the Canadian/US construction market. Experienced user of ProjectWise, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Bi-lingual an advantage. A recognized relevant university degree. Membership in relevant professional organizations is beneficial.EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
