The Department of Biological Chemistry is recruiting for a Project Scientist position in Professor Christofk’s laboratory.
This position is intended for collaborative research working on fetal metabolism and mechanisms by which metabolite changes impact developmental transitions, as well as method development for studying cell type-specific metabolism in vivo.
Job responsibilities include supporting the PI in the design and execution of funded projects, including troubleshooting development of new methods to study cell type specific metabolism in vivo and studies on the role of metabolite changes in development transitions in animals. Responsibilities also include assisting the PI in study design, day-to-day tasks related to project management, data analysis, manuscript preparation and submission, and mentoring graduate/undergraduate students/junior postdoctoral fellows working in this group.
The qualifications for this position are as follows:
Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemical biology, or a closely related field of study.
