We’re just built to be better. We are a great company. We are seeking a **Project Scientist (EIR Scientist)** to join our team! The location of this position is flexible. Preference will be given to candidates with petroleum and/or project management experience. Come join us! **Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Manage environmental projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH through all phases, from proposal generation, project execution, reporting, and invoicing. + Provide work assignments to support staff in execution of fieldwork and project deliverables. + Prepare technical reports + Assist clients with complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for the petroleum projects, + Interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors + Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement + Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables. **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or other applied science, + Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) including a combination of field, data evaluation, and technical writing within the environmental site investigation & remediation practice. + Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to site investigation, hydrogeology, and remediation of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and air impacts. + Supervisory experience preferred. + Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements. + Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint). + Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting. + Good problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills + Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis. + Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check. **Technical Requirements:** + Experience with petroleum releases and remediation projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH. + Experience and understanding of ASTM Environmental Site Assessment preferred. + 40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher. **Benefits:** Atlas offers a comprehensive benefit program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
