Project Senior Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Senior Officer will oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines while coordinating with local authorities, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to ensure efficiency and community engagement. They will supervise the rehabilitation of rural health outposts in collaboration with a Civil Engineer, organize workflows for psychologists providing MHPSS services, and support the training for healthcare professionals. Will conduct regular site visits to ensure quality rehabilitation and service delivery and develop needed reports. They will manage the project field team, act as a liaison with partners and governments, advocate for integrating community health approaches into policies, etc.

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Coordinate with local authorities, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and community engagement.
• With support from Civil Engineer, supervise the rehabilitation of rural health outposts, ensuring quality and adherence to Ukrainian MoH standards.
• Organize the workflow for psychologists providing MHPSS services in affected communities.
• Conduct regular site visits to health facilities and community spaces to oversee rehabilitation work and service delivery.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for internal use and donor updates, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
• Lead the process of organizing training for healthcare professionals on community health.
• Supervise the project’s field team (Psychologists, Nurse supervisor) daily work, ensuring a high-quality performance, and correct documentation and reporting.
• Act as a project’s focal point for relations between partners, local governments, and targeted communities.
• Advocate for the integration of community health approaches into local policies and resource allocation plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned by line manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, desirably in health-related discipline.
• At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant field is required.
• Previous experience in health programs and NGO experience are preferred.
• The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively to diverse audiences.
• English - written communication skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational. and time management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel independently domestically.
• Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Microsoft Word, Excel).

REPORTING LINES

·       Position reports to Health Manager.

·       Position directly supervises Nurse Supervisor and Psychologists.

·       Closely collaborate with other members of the health team.

 

This position will be based in Dnipro, with frequent travel to Zaporizhia and Mykolaiv oblast, implementing a development health project.
