Assists in determining and developing budgets, project schedules, manpower and other staff support requirements. **What You'll Do** + Support engineering staff with submitting for permits with municipalities and other government entities. + Support engineering staff and internal land department to support land acquisition activities. + Provides support of department's activities on projects during engineering, procurement, construction and start-up. + Assists in development and maintenance of project cost and schedule aspects of status reporting systems necessary for project control. + Analyzes and maintains results of cost and manhour performance measurement systems as part of an overall project control system. + Analyzes and maintains results of project schedules to establish status and provide the basis for positive actions. + Prepares special studies as required to provide management visibility of key cost and schedule issues. + Reviews and monitors contractors' invoices and prepares payment requests for project management approval. + Develops, prepares, analyzes and tracks O&M, payroll and information systems budgets. + Provides analytical and administrative support to various departments on construction contract related items. + Develops, coordinates and maintains information system requirements for assigned area of responsibility. + Coordinates and monitors all departmental operational requirements, including space planning and procurement of department furniture/equipment. + Prepares and conducts training of resources to improve their skills in preparation for more complex assignments and subsequent advancement. **What It Takes To Succeed** + Knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Knowledge of corporate financial system, policies and procedures, and both O&M and capital budget process. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Interpersonal sensitivity to interface effectively with all levels of management within and outside SRP. Knowledge and ability to use required resources (personal computer, calculator, office/audio visual equipment, etc.). Flexibility to meet changing priorities and adjust work hours to complete assignments. High degree of confidentiality. + Knowledge of CICS, FIS, EIS, Outlook, AMP, Primavera, Phoenix, Cimage, Cognos and SAP. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Possess valid Arizona Driver's License. **Experience** Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering construction management discipline including jobs such as an Engineering Technician, Engineering Designer, Scheduler/Planner or Construction Analyst. **Education** Completion of an Associate's degree, Apprenticeship, or 60 college credit hours related to the position from an accredited is preferred. **Testing and Certifications** Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license. **Hybrid Workplace** SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
