In addition to our core facility and project management capabilities, our platform offers direct access to our Best-in-Class services, including ESG, Security Consulting, Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience. **About the Role:** As a CBRE Project Specialist, you will support the facilities management team in successfully fulfilling the clients' requirements. You will also monitor projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. **What You’ll Do:** + Review all requirements of each Capital/Renovation request with the users and provide budget estimates relative to the project. + Control and supervise project activities in accordance with the defined scope, schedule and budget. + Prepare detailed project documents defining scope of work, schedule of work, costs and responsibilities of all users. + Liaise with Hospitals Consulting Engineers and Architect to ensure all user requirements are incorporated in the contract documents, specifications and drawing for each project. + Negotiates/facilitates consensus re: capital project design, construction, and project delivery within established limits; negotiates/establishes requirements and approval for projects such as development and building permits. + Review and evaluate contractors’ bids and participate in negotiations for contract approvals. + Liaise with hospital staff as required to facilitate construction progress and maintain effective communications regarding contractors’ work and the operation of Hospital departments. + Observe construction in progress while ensuring all project work is conducted in accordance with project drawings and specifications. + Review construction and safety techniques employed by contractors and staff for adherence to standard practices and quality levels. + Maintain project contract documents, plans, specifications, and progress files throughout the project. + Review all invoices and progress billings relative to project work recommending same for payment. + Review all change orders and changes to the scope of work, recommending same for approval. + Attends meetings with project team to monitor project progress. + Prepare monthly progress reports as to the status of approved projects. Prepare various reports including project budget and expenditures; update and monitor as required. + Monitor service contracts to ensure in accordance with standards/guidelines. + Other duties as assigned. **What You’ll Need:** + Minimum 3 year' experience within project control or project coordination + Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical engineering, or a relevant discipline. + Knowledge/understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act, building codes and applicable standards/regulations. + Effective communication skills with ability to excel in a team environment. + Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office Suite (Excel and Word) + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future **Why CBRE?** We lead by example, guided by the needs of the cities we inhabit, the communities we build, and the world we live in.
