American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) overseas all aspects merchant relationships. GMNS Australia is the largest contributor of active locations in force (ALIF) in the region and has the potential for significant growth.

To support this vision, the newly stablished Business Enablement team within GMNS serves as the first line of support and defence ensuring both business protection and growth. This team collaborates closely with Control Management team, Field and Centre of Excellence teams (Market Compliance, General Counsel organisation (GCO) and Risk).

Core responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Specialist/Managers to be part of this exciting team who will be making a difference to our business.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors, completing auditor’s request and remediation along with regulator change implementation. Identify process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions to protect business. Establish systems and procedures to enforce robust anti-money laundering (AML)/ know your business (KYC) procedures Ensure risk, compliance and audit policies are adhered to across the onboarding process Alignment across GMNS businesses with any nuances, including compliance, risk, marketing, operational excellence and operations teams. Identifying, owning and driving operation risk events (OREs) to resolution and timely implementation of regulatory changes.

Minimum Qualification:

Process and project management skills with the ability seamlessly lead multiple projects at once, consistently meeting deadlines. Demonstrate strong commitment to reaching goals, using performance metrics to track progress Ability to navigate sophisticated transitions smoothly and engage and support teams through the change process Strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Collaboration, communication and influencing ability, with the skills to stablish successful business relationships with colleagues across all business levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in compliance related project is desirable Good Excel, Microsoft Project and Power Point skills
