Project Strategy Associate

As a Strategy Associate you will help lead project teams in solving complex problems and implementation issues critical to the company. 

As a Project Strategy Associate within the Chief of Staff team, you will be a key player in supporting the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of J.P.Morgan’s Global Technology team. You will have the opportunity to partner with various strategy and business service groups to ensure streamlined activities within the organization. Your role will involve creating group-wide and executive communications, performing analysis to support decision making, developing processes and tools to support consistent management practices, and supporting selected change management and governance programs. This role will allow you to leverage your analytical skills, work collaboratively with team members across lines of business, and contribute to concise communication materials for senior management.

Job responsibilities

Provide strategic, execution, and operational support to the GT Chief of Staff.Coordinate and manage logistics for meetings, events, and projects, ensuring all details are handled efficiently.Oversee calendar management for senior leaders, optimizing schedules to maximize productivity and alignment with strategic goals.Partner with strategy and business service groups to streamline activities and enhance communication across all levels of the organization.Develop and deliver executive presentations for high-profile meetings and events.Conduct in-depth analysis to support decision-making and influence business strategies.Document and implement standards and guidelines to ensure consistent execution of global strategic priorities.Lead and manage ad hoc projects, taking on increasing responsibility and ownership, with a strong focus on follow-through.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3+ years of experience from either a premier management consulting firm, OR from an investment banking (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) division. Diverse problem solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectorsProven ability to manage complex schedules and ensure seamless execution of tasks and events. Experience in optimizing schedules for senior leaders to enhance efficiency and strategic alignment.Skilled in designing and executing events to drive senior management engagement and foster collaboration.Strong interest and skill in engaging in high-level technical conversations and strategic discussions.An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teamsExcellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way, and achieve goals without direct control over resourcesDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships at all levels of the organization.

Financial Institutions Group (FIG) experience preferred
