Job Description
The Project Superintendent is responsible for the compliance with all contract plans and specifications. Responsibilities include daily quality control inspections, safety inspections of company equipment as well as inspections of company surveys and quantity computations.
Essential Job Functions
Plan and supervises activities- including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, work schedules and ensures all necessary reporting requirements are met. Maintains liaison with operations, engineering and estimating to ensure work complies with contract specifications, drawings and work schedule. Conducts pre-construction planning sessions and meetings with project site team members. Manages and submits weekly payrolls and requisitions for parts and materials. Ensures that all on site personnel complies with project site procedures and Weeks Marine safety program. Documents all violations, notifies management and takes corrective actions as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Qualifications
10+ years of dredging or marine construction experience. 3+ years of supervisory experience. High School Diploma or GED certificate. Proficient knowledge of equipment related to the marine construction industry. This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written language.Physical Requirements
Must be willing to take a post-offer physical. Ability to stand, walk bend, squat and lift for long periods of time . Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work platforms. Must be capable of working outside in the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind for periods up to 12 hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.Certification/Licenses
Valid driver’s license with no citations.Additional Duties
