Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
Based at our Mulwala site, on Pangerang and Yorta Yorta land, your role is to facilitate and coordinate projects through the implementation phase with a Safety-First focus. You will ensure that work is performed safely and in accordance with engineering plans, WHS requirements, and site procedures, while coordinating tradespeople, contractors, and Defence stakeholders across the site.
Your responsibilities
Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal resources to achieve successful project outcomes
Support site maintenance team in executing infrastructure related activities
Manage small projects independently
Preparation of key documents to support activities e.g. JSEAs, risk assessments, permits to work, etc.
Plan site works and manage risk in accordance with Thales procedures
Assist project engineers in preparing specifications and contracts, and assessing tenders
Your Experience
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Trade qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or construction related trade or engineering qualifications
Supervision of trade/construction work including preparation of JSEA’s or SWMS
Computer literacy in the suite of MS Office products (Primavera an advantage)
Contract management and variations
Training in workplace safety or high-risk activities highly regarded
Construction industry White card
Must have a valid Driver’s license
Availibility to travel
Must be eligible to obtain Australian Defence Clearances
