Project Support Coordinator

Project: Nyaal Banyul - Geelong Convention and Event Centre (GCEC)

Fixed Term Contract Until May 2026

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Project Support Coordinator to assist the Operational Readiness Manager in preparing the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre for its grand opening. This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation of strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure the successful operational readiness of the convention centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Operational Readiness Manager in all aspects of operational readiness activities for the GCEC. Assist in the development and implementation of operational readiness plans, including training, documentation, and support processes. Coordinate with project managers, stakeholders, and various teams to ensure smooth transitions from project phases to operational phases. Identify and help mitigate risks associated with operational readiness. Conduct readiness assessments and provide actionable recommendations. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation and delivery of regular updates and reports on operational readiness activities. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to prepare teams for operational launch. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Experience in project support, operational readiness, or related roles. Strong operational awareness and understanding of best practices. Proven experience in managing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, driven, and capable of managing tasks unsupervised. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience with change management and risk assessment. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
