Our work depends on an exceptional candidate joining our team to manage the Systems Engineering & Architecture (SE&A) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of several systems and networks under our purview that support our customer's defensive cybersecurity mission.

HOW A PROJECT/TASK SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.Supervises less than 10 employees.Manages a diverse team of engineers and systems support/operations personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.Ensures communication, collaboration, and cooperation across 2-3 teams that enable collectively enable mission success.Assists the team to proactively identify risks and challenges and then develop or propose solutions to customer leadership to mitigate those.Directs, tracks, and provides both formal and informal reporting on multiple projects and systems (create/update Confluence pages and Jira tickets, provide information for biweekly and monthly Project Management Reviews, provide summary emails and formal writeups upon request).Manages/tracks Jira tickets and ensure work is being documented and prioritized correctly; participates in weekly SCRUMs; engages daily with the team to keep abreast of all work, issues, concerns, etc.Communicates effectively with customer and contract leadership, as well as the contractor team, to understand and relay objectives, requirements, and cost/schedule/technical concerns.Identifies capability gaps and addresses needs to ensure the teams have what they need to complete work and achieve project success.Supports team in accomplishing the A&A cycles and drives the work-off of POA&Ms.Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure is required; understanding of cybersecurity principles and controls is desired.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity Management, or related disciplineExperience: 6+ years of related experience managing IT projectsRequired Skills and Abilities: Confluence/Jira experienceMicrosoft Office Suite (MS Project and/or Visio a plus)Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/PolygraphDesired Skills and Abilities: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desiredExperience managing budgets and understanding of customer procurement methods a plusKnowledge of ICD 503 A&A process and security controls a plus.Location: Herndon, VA - customer siteUS Citizenship Required
