Job Description
The Project Technician will be a part of Rockwell Automation's Lifecycle Services business focused on understanding customer requirements and providing automation and process solutions within their assigned industries. You will be an important member of our project design and delivery teams.
As a Project Technician, you will be an important member of a project team within one of our industry/application segments. You will focus on supporting engineering teams with the design and configuration of control systems according to customer requirements. You will work on project execution teams to assist with hardware designs, control panel build management, Factory Acceptance Testing, environmental qualification testing, and customer site commissioning of automation control projects. You will also participate in innovation, cost reduction, quality improvement, process documentation, and other projects under the direction and supervision of an engineering team leader.
Your Responsibilities:
You will review and analyse project documentation and system specifications (P&IDs, Flowcharts, MCE, Descriptions, Electrical Diagrams, ...).You will participate in technical execution of multiple projects including all stages of design and technical review.You will help configure Control Systems (mostly PlantPAx Solution) per customer requirements and commissioning customer site.You will Program on industrial controllers (PAC/PLC) (Studio5000) and Develop HMI screens (FactoryTalk View SE/ME)You will implement industrial networksYou will participate in the preparation for and execution of factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).You will perform the solution startup in the field (Commissioning/Start up)The Essentials - You Will Have:
Technical degree (Industrial Automation / Electronics / Electrical or equivalent)Minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Automation projectsWillingness to travel up to 50%, requiring availability during off-hours, weekends, and holidays and overtime.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
