ROLE SUMMARY
The role of the Projectionist is to ensure the efficient running of the digital projection system, film and audio equipment suited to a very high standard, taking into account a diverse range of duties that ensures that the customer receives the optimal visual and aural movie and live event experience when they are in the cinema.

ROLE PROFILE

Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility.Playlist Management- including adverts and trailers- cue placements, sound formats and picture ratios.Film presentation; operate all film and digital projectors, sound equipment and related equipment in the projector suite.Lamp replacement, lamp checks and tracking logs.General projection booth housekeeping and scheduling maintenance visits.Overseeing live show performances and pre- show testing.Set-up and operation of various audio/visual equipment, including sound mixers, microphones, video projectors etc.Follow up on any issues in regard to exhaust or air-conditioning systems within the projection room or cinema auditoriums.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / High School or equivalent.3+ years operations experience; 1+ years handling digital projection equipment.Experience with live sound reinforcement equipment, including mixing consoles, compressors, graphic equalizers and microphones, for music and speech special events.The ability to troubleshoot video and audio equipment, including projector automation.Movie Theater Experience preferred.Strong verbal and written communication.
