Starting Salary: $86,520

Under direction, the class is managerial in nature and accountable for senior manager level functions; positions allocated to this class are characterized as having a broad scope of management responsibilities, and performs related duties as required Positions are allocated across all city departments and have a wide range of functions. Examples of core functions characterizing this class, and specific assignments to city departments is provided below with the intent of providing parameters to adequately describe the level and scope of duties and responsibilities performed by these positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Under direction from the Behavioral Health Senior Leadership team, manages large scale projects of significant scope in terms of budget, operations, and staffing for the CDPH Bureau of Behavioral Health.

· Contract management: operates across the various offices within the Bureau of Behavioral health to streamline contract development and tracking, budget management, and tracking of non-delegate related expenditures by team or initiative for large funding sources.

· Coordination with Service Providers: Act as a liaison between the program and other service providers such as the CARE team, mental health safety net support team, and care coordination agencies. Facilitate communication, collaboration, and referral processes to ensure coordinated efforts

· Standardization Quality Assurance: supports leadership with streamlining processes across Offices and teams, identifies resources and technology to optimize processes, and develops standard operating procedures to document policies, processes, and procedures.

· Intergovernmental Coordination: Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies involved in behavioral initiatives, including substance use, mental health, and violence prevention. Stay informed about relevant policies, regulations, and funding opportunities, and advocate for the needs of your program and clients at various levels of government.

· Coordinates and administers citywide initiatives, departmental programs and special projects of a complex and technical nature.

· Collaborates with mid and senior level management across the Bureau to de-silo efforts and identify implement best practices.
