Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Design
Develop comprehensive station designs for meteorological data collection systems, ensuring all components (sensors, dataloggers, enclosures, mounting structures, power systems, and communication hardware) are integrated seamlesslyDevelop and refine design elements to ensure compliance with customer requirements and solar industry standardsProject Delivery Support
Work closely with the Project Delivery team members as well as stakeholders across other internal departments to support the on-time delivery of projectsInterface with customers by participating in external project delivery meetings, addressing technical inquiries from customers, and supporting the gathering/coordination of technical system requirementsSales Quotation & Planning:
Collaborate with the Sales team to interpret and understand customer specifications and requirements for project opportunities for solar data collection systems.Assist the Sales team in designing and quoting project opportunities in response to RFQs from customersTechnical Configuration & Testing:
Generate and maintain accurate technical configuration tables and ensure consistency across projectsDrawings and Documentation:
Create and validate detailed engineering drawings (system line and wiring diagrams, cabinet layout drawings, and installation and mounting models), ensuring they meet the required quality standardsCreate system power budgets and make recommendationsCollaborate cross-functionally to create and standardize technical documentation for meteorological systems including installation guides, commissioning guides, and Operations & Maintenance manualsGeneral Solar Technical Support
Respond promptly to customer support tickets to ensure on-time resolution of issuesDeliver excellent customer service, aiming to exceed customer satisfaction benchmarksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, document solutions, and contribute to knowledge sharingQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in technical design, project documentation, or engineering support, preferably in the solar measurement or instrumentation industryProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management toolsStrong understanding of data collection and measurement instruments (dataloggers, sensors, telemetry) and associated technologyExcellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneouslyExceptional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and customer interactionExperience with procurement processes and technical documentation is a plusAt Veralto, we value diversity and the existence of similarities and differences, both visible and not, found in our workforce, workplace and throughout the markets we serve.
