Your New Role...
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe represents WBD’s portfolio of sports brands, channels, and platforms in Europe. WBD Sports Europe includes the much-loved consumer brands Eurosport and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland, as well sports programming and content on WBD’s free-to-air TV networks and streaming on Max* and discovery+. They connect audiences with the greatest sporting events in the world. WBD Sports Europe completes a full 360° offer with its Events management and promotion division, which oversees 35+ events across four global championships each year and has achieved the ISO20121 certification for sustainability of event management practices. WBD Sports (Events) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and detail-oriented Promotion Executive for international cycling events (primarily mountain bike & track).
Your Role Accountabilities...
Managing and implementing promotional strategies and campaigns (pre-event, on-event, post-event) aligned with marketing goals for each season.
Planning, scheduling, and executing fan experience activations at events (e.g., autograph sessions, interviews, press conferences).
Managing marketing tools, including newsletters, graphics, website updates, posters, programs, and TV spots for event promotion.
Overseeing athlete activation/promotion schedules during events.
Supporting event organizers in ticketing strategy campaigns by producing key assets and leveraging WBD networks.
Assisting social media teams in maintaining brand consistency and developing content strategy, messaging, and promotional activations.
Booking promotional campaigns (digital and linear) on the WBD platform.
Coordinating with internal departments, event stakeholders, suppliers, and creative agencies for promotional efforts and fan experiences.
Qualifications & Experience...
Proven experience in Marketing, preferably Sports or Events.
Strong understanding of cycling disciplines.
Experience with promotional activations and coordinating field teams.
Excellent project management skills; able to meet tight deadlines.
Comfortable working with international markets.
Willing to travel for events, including weekends.
Skilled in logistics, project management, communication, and strategy.
Proficient with social media tools and digital/web environments.
Knowledgeable in Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.
Organized, dynamic, team player, capable of working autonomously in fast-paced environments.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.How We Get Things Done…
