The Promotions Producer/Videographer will be a highly motivated and creative individual. This position will be responsible for producing effective on-air promotional spots, digital marketing and special projects.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Work closely with Creative Services Director to brainstorm, conceive, write, storyboard, light, shoot, and edit compelling on-air and online promos, lifestyle segments commercials either independently or as a team.Communicates with newsroom, talent, and/or clients to develop a production plan.Sets up, composes, and executes shoots. Produce 4–5-minute (on-location) segments for or lifestyle show, Arkansas Style.Help manage guest and be in studio for Arkansas Style when needed.Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and ensure that assigned projects are delivered on timePush the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to brand guidelinesMust have strong videography and non-linear editing skills.Must have strong photography and digital photo editing skills.Extensive knowledge of and proven experience with DSLR cameras and Premiere Pro with the ability to demonstrate proficiency level equivalent to 2+ years - this isn't an "I'm a fast learner" opportunity; you need to know the camera & program inside and out from day one.Knowledge and proven experience in After Effects and Photoshop.Knowledge and proven experience in lighting & flash photography. Maintains station equipment.Promotional video editing experience in television environment strongly preferred.Posting promotions through social media.Possess excellent communication, presentation, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Assists with occasional promotional events which may include nights and/or weekendsPerform other related duties, as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
Attention to detail!Demo reel -- include a link in your resume.Passion for strong promotion and tease writing.Strong video production & still photography skills utilizing Canon cameras.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Working knowledge of lighting, audio mixing, color correction.Working knowledge of audio recording with wired, and wireless mics.Excellent communication/grammar skills, both oral and written. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work daytime hours regularly and flexible hours (including weekends) occasionally.Fluency in English. Valid driver’s license.Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The Promotions Producer must be able to stand, sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, the Promotions Producer must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
