SUMMARY: To oversee the day-to day operations of the Promotions department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate staff and conduct performance reviews
- Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
- Plan, develop and coordinate promotions and special events on and off property adhering to established timeframes
- Responsible for promotional issues that may arise before, during and after events
- Establish, write and route official promotional rules property-wide
- Approve set-up of promotional software applications
- Assist with developing an annual budget
- Generate necessary requests to ensure invoices are paid promptly
- Report on winners, prize distribution and guest counts
- Work with vendors on gift selection and purchase
- Drive attendants to off-site events
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 3 years hospitality or customer service experience
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
