Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will oversee the financial reporting and accounting for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. Responsibilities: • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports for assigned properties. • Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement or discrepancies. • Collaborate with property managers to provide financial insights and recommendations. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Manage the integration of new properties into accounting workflows. • Utilize accounting software such as Sage Timberline, Yardi, and MRI to maintain financial records. • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries as needed. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned properties. • Maintain organized and detailed documentation for audits and internal reviews. • Work closely with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal correspondence. • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a solutions-oriented approach. • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Timberline, Yardi, or MRI. • Two years of accounting experience, preferably in property or real estate accounting.
