Job Description

As a Senior Property Accountant at Z Modular you will be a key member of the of the growing finance team.   In this role you will be responsible for the financial accounting of our portfolio of residential multifamily communities.  Reporting to the Director of Finance, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience in property management accounting and proficiency with Yardi property management software.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure community financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAPPost Journal entries and review coding Perform Bank and GL Account reconciliationsAnalyze financial results and trends Prepare monthly analysis of results and monthly reporting packageMaintain and coordinate accounting control proceduresAct as key point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding property management accountingCommunicate and coordinate with on-site property managers to provide financial support and ensuring timely completion of monthly close activities Assist in preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecastsComplete other various financial, accounting or other administrative functions as assigned or necessary

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE:

3 years of accounting experience with relevant bachelor’s degree OR 5 years of accounting experience with relevant associate degree OR 7 years of accounting experience Must have at least 3 years of experience in Yardi demonstrating competency across the full spectrum of the accounting capabilities within various modules  Eligible to work in the United States

Technical accounting proficiencyAnalytical skills, inclusive of proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and data manipulationAttention to detailCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf-management and initiative GAAPYARDI Real Estate Portfolio Software

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work will be conducted in an office environment with a controlled climate, involving standard office equipment and tasks, and requires a professional demeanor and effective communication with colleagues.Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer, including repetitive hand and wrist movements.Proficiency in handling office equipment and moving around the office.Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.Good visual acuity for reading screens and documents. Job Footer (US)
