Description We are looking for a dedicated Property Accountant to join our team in the non-profit & Real Estate industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. As a Property Accountant, you will be tasked with managing and overseeing various accounting functions, utilizing specific software systems for efficiency. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee various accounting functions such as accrual accounting, auditing, and balance sheet reconciliation. • Utilize accounting software systems like MRI Software and Yardi Software to ensure smooth operations. • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards. • Carry out account coding accurately, ensuring all financial transactions are categorized correctly. • Use ADP - Financial Services for efficient financial management and reporting. • Work with AMSI and AppFoli for property management and accounting purposes. • Monitor and manage customer credit applications, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently. • Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating them as necessary. • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of Accrual Accounting • Demonstrable experience in Auditing is essential • Proficiency in using MRI and MRI Software is required • Familiarity with Yardi and Yardi Software is a must • Proven ability in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience in making Journal Entries is necessary • Comprehensive knowledge of various Accounting Functions is needed Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
