The position: The Property Accounting Associate will be responsible for providing accounting administrative support for a portfolio of properties which may include projects such as bank account reconciliations, report package assembly, etc.
Responsibilities Perform bank account reconciliations regularly throughout the financial period to maintain an accurate daily cash balance.Assist the Property Accounting team in compiling monthly financial information in accordance with deadlines/requirements while adhering to accounting policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controls.Assist the Property Accounting team in preparing financial packages for multiple clients with different reporting requirements.Assist the Property Accounting team in reviewing the appropriate reporting and recording journal entries to maintain income and revenue in industry specific software.Effectively communicate and collaborate with Property Accountants and above in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service.Ability to work independently to complete tasks.Utilize systems/tools to complete work in a timely manner.Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.College coursework completed in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office SuitePreferred Industry Specific Software: YardiEmployment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and possessing a valid driver’s license.
