Property Administrator
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Property Administrator in San Jose, California. This role involves managing property-related tasks, interacting with potential tenants, and maintaining account records in the real estate industry. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process applications from individuals interested in becoming residents, including conducting income and background checks to ensure compliance with regulations. • Keep a close watch on accounts receivable related to vacancies and bad debt trends, and devise and execute corrective action plans as necessary. • Manage and update the contact database, logs of potential residents, waitlists, and other necessary data for property management software. • Coordinate the showcasing of apartments to prospective residents. • Organize and update resident files as per the Property Manager's instructions to comply with regulatory requirements. • Support the Property Manager in maintaining resident satisfaction, renewing leases, and carrying out rent increases. • Handle all incoming telephone requests for leasing and maintenance. • Assist in coordinating marketing and advertising efforts as required. • Keep the Property Manager updated about potential or actual issues related to the property's physical condition, financial status, or resident concerns. • Perform additional office support tasks as needed for the efficient operation of the properties. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Property Administrator role • Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software • Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong administrative assistance skills and experience • Proven track record in managing work orders • Experience in handling tenant leases effectively • Ability to maintain tenant retention and manage prospective tenants • Comfortable with answering inbound calls in a detail oriented manner • Excellent email correspondence skills • Experience in eligibility verification is necessary • Prior experience in a similar administrative role is preferred.
