About the opportunity
Reporting to the ‘Head of Real Estate Solutions’, the Property Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Real Estate Solutions team by delivering comprehensive financial modelling and scenario analysis for property transactions, including acquisitions, leases, sales, and development projects. You will ensure optimal utilization of capital by aligning real estate decisions with long-term corporate financial objectives.
Australia Post’s property portfolio includes industrial and logistics properties, retail outlets, and heritage sites. These properties are critical to supporting diverse operational needs such as retail services, letter and parcel facilities, and transport hubs.
What you’ll deliver with us
You have a deep understanding of real estate investment metrics, property valuation, and financial modelling to make informed recommendations that balance corporate goals with market opportunities.
You’ll also
Evaluate asset sales through scenario analysis, advising on strategies such as redevelopment, leasing to third parties, or dispositionAnalyse the impact of property decisions on financial metrics and provide strategic insight, contribute to achieving the organization's overarching property and financial objectivesProactively evaluate and recommend real estate opportunities in the portfolio by analysing market conditions, zoning laws, and property-specific attributes
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting, Property Valuation or any related fieldProficiency in advanced financial modelling software (e.g., Excel, Argus) and real estate analysis toolsStrong knowledge of property valuation techniques and investment metrics (NPV, IRR, ROI), financial modelling and scenario analysisFamiliarity with real estate accounting principles and balance sheet impact assessmentsProven experience and understanding of real estate transactions or leasing, acquisitions, sales, and sale-and-leaseback strategies, including due diligence processes
