Nightwing is looking for a Property & Logistics Specialist to support a fast-paced and important mission in the Northern Virginia area. 

The Property and Logistics Specialist is expected to independently interact with a variety of internal and external customers daily, while building relationships and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.  This individual must be a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to independently prioritize tasking in a dynamic environment.  Tasking on this job will vary significantly from day to day.

The Property and Logistics Specialist must know or be willing to learn requisite facets of Property Management and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).  The individual will be trained in all key areas of property and logistics management. 

The Property & Logistics Specialist is responsible for storing, issuing, documenting, and maintaining accountability of property management assets, which includes performing cyclic inventories, maintaining the property management database, and maintaining records subject to audit.  Ensures accuracy and completeness of all required documentation for incoming and outgoing assets.  In addition to supporting a key business unit, this role also requires the individual to act as the property and logistics lead for the Nightwing headquarters building. 

Responsibilities

The Property & Logistics Specialist is responsible for the following activities:

Facilitates full compliance with FAR 52.245-1

Receive, Inspect, Inventory, Load/Unload, Segregate, Store, Issue

Coordinates with end users for property pickup

Serves as the primary point of contact for all property and logistics issues in the Northern Virginia Area

Adhere to procedures to ensure the life cycle of accountable property and maintain accurate records

Learn and maintain knowledge of the PMS, ERP and Jira systems used by Nightwing

Communicate effectively via email, phone, chat and in person with Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, and other disciplines

Prepares documentation using appropriate government regulations, including FAR 52.245-1, for system inventory such as LDDT and Inventory Schedules. Execute all transactions pertaining to each system

Create DD250, DD1348, DD1149, SF1428 etc. as required

Maintain documentation for audits, tracking and reports

Ensures cyclic and preventative maintenance actions are completed of all property management assets as required

Track accountability of equipment locations and movement of equipment utilizing the requisite Property Management System

Perform to established local property and logistics procedures as well as Nightwing procedures

Conduct shipping and receiving operations for the Nightwing headquarters building

Fosters a positive work atmosphere promoting high performance and teamwork

Perform all other assigned duties

Required Skills:

2+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Asset Management, Logistics, Government Contract work, or Military Experience

Ability to work under limited supervision with strong interpersonal skills

Must be able to multitask, prioritize work, and be adaptive to change

Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Able to operate manual material handling equipment, pallet jack, push carts, etc. with zero supervision

Must be able to withstand physical demands of a warehouse environment: seasonal hot/cold temperatures, bending, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds unassisted, and standing for long periods of time

Active TS/SCI clearance.  Must be a US citizen

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of property managements and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

Familiarity with federal logistic practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc.

Experience managing logistics support for multiple programs

Experience with shipping/receiving Hazardous Materials

Having one of the following CPPS, CPPA, CPPM certifications

Knowledge/experience of managing Government Property IAW 52.245-1

Supply Chain Management experience

Required Education:

BS/BA in supply chain management or related field to this job description

Combination of experience, training and education may be considered in lieu of degree

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
