The Role
Evaluate, underwrite, and issue property & casualty insurance policies while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain underwriting and service standards through thorough account reviews, risk assessments, and strategic file documentation. Process policies, schedules and endorsements on both underwriting and broker systems, creating and issuing all relevant documentation. Liaise daily with team members, underwriters, brokers, and agents to foster strong relationships, address client-related issues, and implement tailored insurance. solutions. Work cross-functionally to identify and mitigate key risks while promoting the company’s services. Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing for complex insurance programs while balancing client needs and company objectives. Conduct and oversee risk surveys, site inspections, and assessments to evaluate clients' property and casualty exposures, and prepare detailed reports highlighting potential hazards and recommending risk mitigation measures. Prepare and present periodic reports on underwriting performance, risk exposure, and loss ratios to senior management. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks in property and casualty insurance. Work with product development teams to design innovative insurance products and solutions. Ensure all communications are recorded and relayed clearly and in a timely manner. Take ownership of assigned projects. Oversee the implementation of portfolio changes.The Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience in Property & Casualty insurance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, with a strong understanding of market trends.Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, business administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACII, CPCU, or ARM are highly preferred.Extensive knowledge of underwriting principles, regulatory requirements, and risk assessment, including experience conducting and interpreting risk surveys.Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills with well-developed decision-making abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment.Application Process:
